As the years go by, success begins to take on a different meaning. The goals we once chased slowly make room for something deeper – the friendships we nurture, the conversations that stay with us, and the moments when we make someone feel seen, heard, and supported. I’ve come to believe that these are the experiences that leave the most meaningful imprint on our lives. I was born and raised in Faridabad, India, and came to the United States in 2004 to pursue my master’s degree. What began as a new chapter gradually became home. Along the way, I built my career, raised my family, and found a wonderful community in St. Louis. I’ve learned that home is less about a place and more about the people who make you feel like you belong. Professionally, I am a Director of Software Engineering at Mastercard, where I have had the opportunity to lead teams, build technology solutions, and grow as a leader. While my career has been incredibly fulfilling, over the past few years I have found myself drawn toward something deeper – creating meaningful relationships, fostering authentic conversations, and bringing people together. When the idea of Sakhi was first taking shape, saying “yes” wasn’t a decision – it was an instinct. It felt like an opportunity to build the kind of community I had been searching for – a space where women could connect beyond introductions, form genuine friendships, learn from one another, and grow together. I’m endlessly curious about life and find joy in experiences that help me learn and create. Whether it’s writing Hindi poetry, practicing Kathak, hiking mountain trails, traveling with my family, capturing moments through photography, or volunteering at Bal Vihar, every experience adds a new perspective to my journey.
